Customizing Prisma Cloud to your security needs is essential for aligning your security measures with your organization's unique requirements, ensuring compliance, optimizing resource usage, and effectively mitigating risks.

To enable you to build a robust and adaptable security strategy that evolves with your organization's growth and changing threat landscape, Prisma Cloud offers a range of configuration options. These options allow you to effortlessly assess your assets, focus on the most critical issues, and report your team's progress using metrics that are highly relevant to your organization.

Begin customizing the platform to gain better visibility into your security posture and have more control over how your applications are protected.

1. Choose Your Focus

Access the primary navigation, at the top across the horizontal layout, and take advantage of the increased visual real estate that provides you with a rich security context through a lens focused for you.

Use the Prisma Cloud switcher, at the top-left corner, and set your default preference to Cloud Security, Runtime Security, and Application Security, based on your focus within your organization

2. Tune Policies and Alert Thresholds for Automated Efficiency

To get started with Prisma Cloud without getting inundated with a large volume of alerts, start with enabling the most important policies to you.

Prisma Cloud offers policies of varying severities, from ‘Informational’ to ‘Critical.’ Leverage Prisma Cloud’s thousands of out-of-the-box policies to get started.

For example, Attack Paths policies identify a correlated set of issues based on a combination of overly permissive identities, internet exposure, infrastructure misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and runtime incidents. Start with enabling a set of the most critical policies to quickly identify attack paths, visualize this in a contextualized graph view, and take immediate remediation action.

Along with policy tuning, Prisma Cloud allows you to define different thresholds for anomaly detection based on how sensitive you’d like the analytics model to perform.

Under Settings > Anomalies > Alerts and Thresholds, select the policies and define the training model threshold.

3. Configure Compliance Standards to Align with Organization Requirements

Abiding by industry and internal compliance standards are integral to maintaining good security hygiene. Prisma Cloud helps you maintain and prove compliance through both out-of-the-box standards as well as the ability to tailor your own business needs through custom compliance standards.

4. Query for Insights on Security Risks and Write Custom Policies

Easily pinpoint the insights you need without complex queries using the point-and-click experience assisted by natural language processing (NLP).

Visually understand your environment with the new interactive graph visualizations which enable you to review the common risk factors and potential blast radius for an incident.

Save your query into a custom policy to get alerted on future violations and minimize blind spots.

5. Tailor your dashboards and reports to filter for the data most relevant to you

Prisma Cloud not only has out-of-the-box dashboards for curated views, but also gives you full control over how you want to showcase the health of your security posture.

Explore the metrics available in the Widget Selector to personalize your view.

Along with dashboards, you can also configure and schedule reports to share your organization’s security progress with your leadership team.
